FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What should I bring / what should I wear?

Wear fitted activewear you can move comfortably in that allows your instructor to see your alignment.

You do not wear shoes in class. Grip socks are required for safety and sanitary reasons. Forgot your socks? Grip socks are available for purchase in-studio or ahead of time on our app.

  • What time should I arrive for class?

Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can check you in, get you settled, and provide an equipment demo.

  • What’s the difference between each class type?

Each class follows the Mente Method, with a different focus:

Essentials — beginner friendly, foundational movement, form, and confidence

Signature — the Mente classic: full-body sculpt + strength

Mix — curated sequencing with a featured playlist

Elevate — jumpboard + athletic conditioning

Mastery — advanced progressions for experienced clients

Mobility — restoration, release, and deep feel-good movement

  • Can I attend if I’m a beginner?

Yes. Mente is welcoming for all levels. If you are new to reformer Pilates, we recommend starting with Essentials to learn the fundamentals, build confidence, and feel comfortable on the reformer. From there, you can progress into our other class types as you feel ready.

  • Can I attend if I have an injury?

Yes. Our instructors can offer modifications to support you throughout class. Please let your instructor know before class begins so they can guide you safely. If you are managing a more specific injury or want a highly tailored approach, we recommend scheduling a private session.

  • Can I attend if I am pregnant?

Yes, with guidance. We recommend reaching out before your first class so we can help you choose the best class type and provide appropriate modifications. Please also let your instructor know at the start of class so they can support you throughout your session.

  • What if I have to cancel?

To respect our instructors and clients on the waitlist, we have a 12 hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations within 12 hours of class may result in a fee or the loss of the class credit.

  • Do you have a waitlist?

Yes. Class sizes are limited to 8 reformers so our instructors can provide personalized, individual attention. If a class is full, you will have the option to join the waitlist.

If you do not get a spot in class, or you remove yourself from the waitlist before the 12 hour cancellation window, the class will be returned to your account. If you are added into class, you will receive an email confirmation. If you are added from the waitlist within the cancellation window, the cancellation policy still applies. Anyone added from the waitlist who does not attend class will be considered a no show.
